Mobile Broadband Returns Policies / Contract Guarantees

This information was correct as at June 2009, we hope to provide an update soon:

If you do not get acceptable mobile broadband coverage, you can return the product and cancel your contract within 14 days.

Note that online purchases are also covered by Distance Selling Regulations. Under these, you have a 7 day cooling off period. So, if you decided you didn't want the product, you would be entitled to return it and cancel your contract within 7 days.

If your modem is faulty, it will be replaced up to 28 days after the sale.

This returns policy also applies to Vodafone Small Business Mobile Broadband.

If you experience coverage problems, modem can be returned within 7-days providing you carried out a coverage check and obtained a Coverage Guarantee Code when ordering.

The 3 Mobile website states that if you return your purchase within 14 days you can get a full refund.

Two week money back guarantee. Will cancel the contract and refund any upfront device costs if the dongle is returned within two weeks.

30 Day Happiness Guarantee.

If you’re not happy, you can return the USB modem within 30 days and O2 will refund the cost of your USB modem, plus cancel any contract you have. We would also advise including written notice of your wish to cancel.

For Pay Monthly, O2 will refund the USB modem cost if this was chargeable. Any additional charges including any subscription charges covering the period during which you have been connected, excess data usage and any charges relating to text and/or roaming will not be refunded and are excluded from the promotion. For Pay & Go, O2 will refund the USB modem cost. Any additional charges including any Access charges and any charges relating to text and/or roaming will not be refunded and are excluded from the promotion.
