Below you will see the results of some mobile broadband testing we did between 27th March and 27th April 2011. The purpose of this testing was to give those thinking about getting mobile broadband a feel for the broadband speeds that they can expect. All the speeds given in advertising are theoretical maximums, and real life mobile broadband speeds are always lower. We have tested in a number of large towns and cities, such as Southampton, Salisbury and Winchester. Almost all of the tests were performed from the car. We hope that these test results will give you an idea of how fast mobile broadband really is.

The fastest speed we recorded during testing was 4.77 Mb/s from Three mobile broadband.
